Capturing the Return of Capital Food Fight – High-Energy Live Event Videography

In April 2022, I had the opportunity to be the event videographer for the first post-pandemic LIVE Capital Food Fight, held at The Anthem in Washington, DC. This high-profile culinary fundraiser brought together local chefs, mixologists, and food lovers in support of DC Central Kitchen’s mission—and the energy in the room was electric.



Working on behalf of CPR MultiMedia Solutions and The Webster Group, I was tasked with capturing the essence of the evening. My responsibilities included shooting b-roll of the venue, food prep, and crowd interactions, as well as executing a dynamic live shot from within the audience during the main stage program.

Back in the edit suite, I took full ownership of post-production. Without a formal brief from the client, I shaped the footage into a polished highlight reel that showcased the excitement of the night and the heart behind the cause. The final video was delivered as a turnkey piece—ready for promotion, fundraising, and social sharing.

This project was a great example of how I support live events from the ground up: capturing real-time energy, making creative decisions on the fly, and delivering professional content that tells a compelling story.
